Account & Data Deletion
Self-Service Deletion & Zero Central Server Architecture
⚠️ No Central Company Database
Log-It! is engineered on a local-first model. MIYLabs does not operate an external central server, cloud database, or remote user directory holding your logs. Because your data is stored solely on your own device and within your personal Google account, MIYLabs cannot delete your account or data on your behalf via email. You must perform deletion directly using the self-service steps below.

In-App Account & Data Deletion (Recommended)
If you currently have the Log-It! app installed on your Android device, you can delete your account and all associated data in a single action:
- Open the Log-It! application on your Android phone.
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon in the top bar).
- Scroll to the Data & Privacy section and tap 'Delete All Data & Disconnect'.
- Confirm the prompt.
- Cancels all scheduled background synchronization and reminder workers.
- Deletes all encrypted backup files in your private Google Drive AppData folder.
- Purges all Hydration records written by Log-It! from Android Health Connect.
- Revokes Google Drive OAuth access and authorization tokens.
- Deletes your Firebase Authentication user account.
- Clears Android Credential Manager state and signs out.
- Wipes all local SQLite database tables, DataStore preferences, cache, and temporary files.
How to Completely Unlink Log-It! from Your Google Account
If you want to ensure Log-It! is completely disconnected from your Google Account with zero remaining permissions or stored backup data, follow these two official Google steps:
- Revoke Google Account Access & Sign-In Permissions:
Visit your Google Account Third-Party Connections page. Locate Log-It! in the list of connected apps, click on it, and select 'Delete all connections that you have with Log-It!' (or 'Remove Access'). Confirm the prompt. This immediately invalidates all OAuth tokens and severs any link between Log-It! and your Google Account.
Official Guide: Manage third-party apps & services with access to your Google Account. - Manage & Delete Hidden Backup Data in Google Drive:
On a computer browser, open Google Drive Settings (or click the Settings gear ⚙️ > Settings > Manage apps). Scroll to locate Log-It!. You have two options depending on whether backup data is stored:- Delete Hidden App Data directly: If Log-It! has backup archives stored in Drive, the storage size used (e.g. 'XX KB of hidden app data') will appear under the app description. Click the Options button next to Log-It! and select 'Delete hidden app data', then confirm the prompt.
- Disconnect from Drive & Purge Data simultaneously: Click Options > 'Disconnect from Drive'. In the confirmation dialog, check the box labeled 'Also delete hidden app data created by this app' (if present) before confirming. This revokes Drive access and removes all hidden backups in one action.
- Note on menu display: If the Options menu only displays 'Disconnect from Drive' without 'Delete hidden app data' (and no storage size is shown), exactly 0 bytes of hidden data exist in your Drive (e.g. if you already ran in-app deletion). Clicking 'Disconnect from Drive' safely unlinks the app.
- Device Backups: You can also inspect or delete device-level backups at Google Drive Backups (or Drive > Storage > Backups).
Managing Health Connect & Advertising Identifiers
For data stored outside Google Drive:
- Health Connect Hydration Records: On your phone, go to Settings > Security & privacy > Privacy > Health Connect > App permissions > Log-It! and tap 'Delete Log-It! data'. (Note: simply revoking write permission does not delete historical records already written).
- Google Advertising ID (GAID): If you wish to reset or delete your advertising identifier on Android, navigate to Settings > Google > All services > Ads and tap 'Delete advertising ID' or 'Reset advertising ID'. See the official Google Play Advertising ID Guide or manage ad settings via Google My Ad Center.
What Data Is Permanently Deleted
Executing account and data deletion permanently purges:
- All daily water and beverage intake logs, timestamps, and volume records.
- Personalized hydration goals, custom container sizes, and reminder intervals.
- All encrypted database backups located in your Google Drive AppData folder.
- All
HydrationRecordentries created by Log-It! in Android Health Connect. - Firebase Authentication credentials and OAuth account link tokens.
- All local SQLite database files, shared preferences, and cached assets.
Data Retention Policy & Legitimate Reasons
Because MIYLabs operates no central server or user database, MIYLabs retains zero personal data after you delete it. There are no residual database copies or tracking profiles kept by MIYLabs. Deletions performed locally and across Google services take effect immediately and permanently. Immediate (0-Day) Deletion Timeline: All deletion operations execute synchronously with immediate effect and a 0-day retention period. MIYLabs does not retain, queue, or archive any user records.
Distinction: Log-It! Data vs. Your Google Account
Deleting your Log-It! account and data does NOT delete your Google Account, your personal Google Drive documents, or health records written by other fitness apps. To manage or delete your Google Account itself, visit the Google Account Data & Privacy Hub or see How to delete your Google Account.
